NNew Delhi, July 6 -- The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to hear on Tuesday an application filed by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) seeking to restrain Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay, Minister Aadhav Arjuna, and other accused from making public statements on the Karur stampede case, which is being investigated by the CBI.

The application also seeks directions to regulate their interaction with the victims' families during the pendency of the probe, alleging that such engagements could influence material witnesses in the court-monitored investigation.

A partial Court working days bench of Justices Ahsanuddin Amanullah and Sheel Nagu heard the matter.
