Bengaluru, May 20 -- Karnataka Forest Minister Eshwar B Khandre on Wednesday directed authorities to phase out open-jeep safari vehicles and introduce safer buses across tiger reserves and wildlife sanctuaries in the state following recent safety concerns involving tourists and wildlife.
The move comes days after a 33-year-old woman from Chennai was killed at the Dubare elephant camp in Kodagu after being caught in a clash between two captive elephants during a bathing session.
