Bengaluru, Aug. 21 -- Karnataka's electoral roll revision has put 43.80 lakh voters under scrutiny, with the Election Commission gearing up to serve notices to those whose records could not be mapped or contain discrepancies during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).
The State has around 5.54 crore voters. Of these, 1.07 crore have been categorised as ASDDO and are set to be left out of the draft electoral roll, while 4.46 crore names are expected to figure in the draft list.
The exercise has identified 23.45 lakh voters whose details could not be mapped and another 20.35 lakh with anomalies in their information. Notices will be served to all 43.80 lakh voters, requiring them to establish their eligibility with supporting documents.
