Bengaluru, March 3 -- Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara on Tuesday said the state government has sought the Centre's assistance to help citizens stranded due to the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict, particularly those who had travelled to the region for short-term purposes and are now unable to return.
Speaking to reporters, he highlighted that thousands of people from Karnataka are currently residing in the conflict-affected region for work.
