Shivamogga (Karnataka), July 4 -- Karnataka Police played a decisive operational role in a high-stakes interstate rescue mission that led to the recovery of a 14-year-old girl from Vadodara, who was traced to a temple premises in Shivamogga after being missing for nearly five months, officials said on Saturday.
The breakthrough came after Gujarat's Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), acting on sustained technical surveillance and intelligence inputs, identified the suspect's location in Karnataka. Karnataka Police units were immediately roped in to provide ground support, surveillance coordination, and local intelligence assistance, enabling a tightly executed joint operation under Operation Milap.
