Bengaluru, June 16 -- Karnataka Minister for Bengaluru Development Krishna Byre Gowda on Tuesday formally assumed charge of the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA), ending nearly two weeks of uncertainty triggered by his dissatisfaction over the allocation of portfolios in the state cabinet.
Gowda, who had stayed away from the department for 13 days after being assigned responsibility for the GBA without control over key agencies such as the Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) and the Bengaluru Metropolitan Region Development Authority (BMRDA), took charge following intervention by the Congress high command.
