Karnataka may not be able to provide Water, Can TVK govt ensure adequate water for Samba cultivation in delta dists

Chennai, Sept. 6 -- PMK President and Rajya Sabha MP Anbumani Ramadoss on Sunday sought a clarification from the rulingTVK in Tamil Nadu as to whether it could ensure adequate water for the Cauvery delta district farmers to take up long term Sambacrop cultivation as according to reports Karnataka might not be in a position to release Cauvery waters.

In a statement here, he said none of the reports concerning Cauvery water-from the reservoirs in Karnataka to the Grand Anicut (Kallanai)-are encouraging.
