Bengaluru, July 17 -- The Karnataka government is losing thousands of crores of rupees in potential revenue every year due to the alleged unchecked sale of illegal Kerala lottery tickets in the State, the Karnataka State Retail Lottery Sellers Association said on Thursday, demanding a revival of a regulated state lottery system.

Calling for immediate action against illegal lottery networks, Association Founder State President C. Ramakrishna said Karnataka could generate an estimated Rs 5,000-6,000 crore annually if a transparent and legally regulated Karnataka State Lottery Scheme was reintroduced.
