Bengaluru, June 26 -- The Karnataka High Court on Friday cancelled the anticipatory bail granted by a sessions court to Vachanananda Swami, who has been booked in a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) case involving allegations of sodomy, observing that it was troubled by the manner in which the pre-arrest bail was granted.

The matter was heard in connection with a petition filed by the complainant challenging the Sessions Court's May 2 order granting anticipatory bail to the accused, who faces charges under Sections 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 of the POCSO Act.
