Bengaluru, March 23 -- Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Monday said that an investigation into sexual harassment allegations against a police inspector in Moodbidri has been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for a detailed probe, citing the seriousness of the case.
Addressing reporters in Bengaluru, the minister said he directed the State Director General of Police to transfer the case to the CID for a thorough probe, considering the gravity of the complaints. The decision follows inputs from the Chairperson of the Karnataka State Women's Commission, Nagalakshmi Chowdhary, and the victim.
