Bengaluru, Sept. 5 -- The controversy surrounding the Dharmasthal site in Karnataka has intensified, as religious leaders from multiple mutts called for a National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe into alleged mass burials, including women's bodies reportedly showing signs of sexual assault.

The mutt heads met union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi, stressing that the incident could be part of a larger conspiracy to malign Hindu religious institutions.
