Bengaluru, Jan. 21 -- Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot has refused to address the joint session of the state legislature scheduled to commence on January 22. Following the Governor's decision, a high-level delegation led by Parliamentary Affairs Minister HK Patil is rushing to Lok Bhavan for urgent discussions aimed at resolving the matter.
The Governor's refusal has not been officially explained.
The development has raised concerns among government officials and legislators, as the Governor's address traditionally marks the formal beginning of the session and sets out the priorities of the state government.
