Bengaluru, Aug. 12 -- In a major push to ensure that no eligible voter is left out of Karnataka's electoral rolls, the Election Commission has directed district authorities to launch an intensive enrolment campaign targeting first-time voters and eligible electors marked as Absent or Shifted during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).

The drive comes ahead of publication of the draft electoral rolls on August 17, with the Election Commission asking District Election Officers (DEOs) to make special arrangements during the Claims and Objections period to facilitate applications for inclusion.
