Bidar, April 12 -- Leader of Opposition in Karnataka R Ashoka on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the ruling Congress, alleging that the state was witnessing a governance vacuum amid intense internal power struggles.
Speaking to reporters in Bidar, Ashoka claimed that a group of 20-30 Congress MLAs had left for New Delhi to push for a change in leadership and project Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar as the next Chief Minister.
He further alleged that another faction within the party was lobbying to retain Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, indicating a deepening divide within the ruling dispensation.
