Bengaluru, Aug. 12 -- Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Wednesday completed the allocation of portfolios to the expanded Council of Ministers, handing Forest and Ecology to senior Congress leader Ramalinga Reddy and Social Welfare to K H Muniyappa, while ruling out any immediate change in the departments allotted to ministers.

Making his position clear amid speculation over dissatisfaction within the newly expanded Cabinet, Mr Shivakumar said ministers who had already taken oath and been assigned departments would have to continue with the portfolios given to them.

"There is no change in the portfolios. Those who have been given departments should manage the departments allotted to them," he said.
