Bengaluru, Feb. 25 -- The political battle over youth employment in Karnataka has once again turned into a contest between past governance records and present performance, with the BJP Karnataka showcasing recruitment figures from its 2021-2022 tenure to counter criticism of the current administration led by Siddaramaiah.

The BJP claimed that largescale hiring was undertaken across multiple departments during its rule, arguing that job creation momentum has slowed in the past three years.

The party cited recruitment across education, health, law and order, excise, and technical service sectors, claiming around 15,000 teachers were recruited in 2022 along with steps to fill 778 Pre-University lecturer posts.
