Dharamshala, April 2 -- The Kangra district administration will observe Disaster Awareness Day on April 4 to commemorate the 121st anniversary of the devastating 1905 Kangra earthquake, with a series of public awareness programmes in Dharamshala.
Additional District Magistrate Shilpi Bekta said a Citizen Solidarity March (Disaster Awareness Rally) will be taken out from the Deputy Commissioner's Office Complex to the Police Ground at 10:30 am.
An awareness programme will follow, where experts will share key insights on disaster management and earthquake safety. The initiative aims to sensitize people about preparedness and response measures to minimize loss of life and property during disasters.
