Kangra, May 15 -- The administration has intensified preparations for the upcoming Municipal Council elections in Kangra, with candidates participating in mock polling on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
Returning Officer and SDM Kangra, Ishant Jaswal, presided over a workshop and commissioning process of EVMs at the auditorium of Government Polytechnic College, Kangra.
During the workshop, officials and polling staff were given detailed training on all stages of the election process, including the assembly and tagging of machine components, operation of the control unit, and functioning of EVMs during result declaration.
The entire process was demonstrated before the candidates, who also took part in mock polling exercises.
