Kangra, Aug. 20 -- A meeting to review and strengthen the ongoing campaign against drug abuse was held at the Kangra Municipal Council here under the chairmanship of SDM Dr Anjali Garg.
Municipal Council president Suman Verma, vice-president Rajkumari and other members attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed measures to prevent drug abuse, keep youth away from drugs and enhance public awareness about their harmful effects.
The participants also stressed the need to increase public participation in the campaign against chitta (heroin).
The awareness programmes being conducted under the campaign were reviewed, while emphasis was laid on better coordination among the administration, police, local bodies and the general public to tackle...
