Hyderabad, May 13 -- Kamineni Hospitals on Wednesday inaugurated a state-of-the-art Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Unit aimed at providing specialised treatment for patients suffering from blood-related disorders such as thalassemia, leukaemia, and aplastic anaemia.
The facility was inaugurated by Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, who attended the programme as chief guest and offered his blessings.
Hospital authorities said the new unit would provide advanced treatment for children suffering from thalassemia, many of whom currently rely on regular blood transfusions. They noted that bone marrow transplantation offers a long-term and potentially curative solution for such patients.
