Bhopal, Oct. 21 -- Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath said today that the state is plagued by rampant corruption and is heading towards economic misery.
"The state government is neither able to manage revenue from its own resources nor receive the quantum of central funds allocated to it in the current fiscal. The Centre was to disburse Rs 44,000 crore, but only Rs 8,000 cr have been received thus far.
"Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, a component of Rs 8,500 cr was to be received, but owing to corruption, not a single paisa has been obtained.
