New Delhi, Feb. 28 -- Delhi Police on Saturday arrested a 19-year-old alleged associate of the Kala Jathedi-Om Prakash gang and recovered illegal firearms believed to be intended for a targeted killing, officials said.

According to the police, the accused, Manish alias Mishu, a resident of Jharoda Kalan, was apprehended on February 21 near Dwarka Nala Road close to Metro Pillar No. P-9 in Hari Vihar following specific intel inputs from local sources.

"The AATS team laid a trap and intercepted the suspect while he was allegedly moving with illegal weapons," said Ankit Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka).

Police recovered two sophisticated semi-automatic country-made pistols along with five live cartridges from his possession.
