Kakinada, June 23 -- Kakinada district administration has intensified efforts to ensure complete coverage under the Pulse Polio Immunisation Programme scheduled to be held on June 28, Joint Collector Apurva Bharat said on Tuesday.
Chairing a meeting of the District Task Force Committee on Pulse Polio at the Collectorate, the Joint Collector directed officials of the Medical and Health, Revenue, Police, Education, DRDA, ICDS, Industries and Transport departments to work in close coordination to ensure the success of the immunisation drive.
He said the district aims to make Kakinada polio-free by ensuring that every child below five years of age receives polio drops during the campaign.
