Kakinada, June 16 -- District Collector M. N. Harendhira Prasad on Tuesday directed all municipal commissioners in the district to remove unauthorized flex boards erected on road dividers, junctions and other public places, citing concerns over public safety and traffic management.
In its order issued , the Collector said flexes installed on poles along roads and at busy traffic intersections were obstructing the visibility of motorists and pedestrians, thereby increasing the risk of road accidents.
He noted that the unauthorized displays were also affecting the aesthetic appearance of urban areas and that the district administration had received numerous complaints from members of the public regarding the hazardous flex boards.
