Kakinada, July 13 -- Andhra Pradesh State Information Commissioner V S K Chakravarty on Monday said Public Information Officers (PIOs) and appellate authorities should discharge their responsibilities effectively to ensure proper implementation of the Right to Information (RTI) Act.
During an inspection of RTI records at the Kakinada Municipal Corporation, Chakravarty reviewed compliance with the Act and the proactive disclosure of information under Section 4(1)(b), and suggested measures to improve transparency.
