Kakinada, Sept. 22 -- A team of officials led by State Industries and Commerce Secretary Yuvaraj and Joint Collector Apurva Bharat on Tuesday inspected the Kakinada Gateway Port and Kakinada Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in connection with the proposed 'Samudra Manthan' project.
The project has been proposed by the Centre to expedite oil and gas exploration activities along the coastal areas.
The officials inspected several sites in the Kakinada SEZ and assessed their suitability for the proposed project.
Kakinada Gateway Port Managing Director Ramreddi Ozili and SEZ CEO Mantha Srinivas briefed the team on the facilities and infrastructure available in the SEZ.
