Kaithal: Two railway overbridges proposed to ease traffic problem

Satish SethKaithal, Oct. 2 -- To overcome the traffic problem on the railway line passing through Kaithal city, Railway Overbridges (ROBs) are being constructed at two major railway crossings, including at the Karnal Road crossing and the railway crossing near the New Bus Stand.

The Railway Department will construct the two ROBs proposed at the railway crossing connected near the new bus stand on Karnal Road and Hisar-Chandigarh National Highway.

Proposals for both the projects were sent to Railways by NHAI. Railways has also started its own process for these projects.

The Project cost of the two proposed overbridges is estimated about Rs 50- crore each.

Proposals worth about Rs 50 crore each have been prepared for both the ROBs.
