Satish SethKaithal, July 28 -- The discovery of a young man's body in a canal near the village of Jakholi in Kaithal district on Monday morning caused a stir in the area. Farmers tending to their fields spotted the body and immediately informed the Titram police station.
Police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and sent it to the civil hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The deceased was identified as 30-year-old Mukesh Kumar, a resident of the village of Habdi.
Preliminary investigations suggest the young man slipped and fell into the canal, leading to his death by drowning.
Police stated that no external injuries were found on the body.
A case of accidental death has been initiated.
