Dharamshala, June 29 -- Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Whip Keval Singh Pathania on Monday said that 15th-century saint, mystic poet and social reformer Sant Kabir regarded humanism as the highest religion and inspired society to rise above superstition, caste discrimination and social evils.

Addressing a Kabir Jayanti function at Baldi in Shahpur as the chief guest, Pathania said Sant Kabir fearlessly advocated truth, equality, social harmony, fraternity and humanity. He said Kabir's teachings remain relevant even today and people should follow the path shown by the great saint.
