Hyderabad, June 13 -- A staging of Sri Krishna Leelalu by the Surabhi Drama Theatre was held at Indrajit Gupta Hall in Kondapur on Saturday under the auspices of the Chandra Rajeswara Rao Foundation for Social Progress (CR Foundation).
Speaking as the chief guest, CPI leader K Narayana lauded the artistes and called for greater support to Surabhi, describing it as a theatre institution with a rich 140-year legacy of preserving and promoting Telugu culture, traditions and performing arts.
Narayana said governments should extend special assistance to traditional theatre troupes, folk arts and stage artistes who continue to uphold cultural values despite financial hardships.
