Patna, June 5 -- Justice Meenakshi Madan Rai was today sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court in a function held at Bihar Lok Bhavan in Patna.
Bihar Governor Syed Ata Hasnain administered oath to the Chief Justice in the presence of several dignitaries from the judiciary, executive and legal fraternity.
Among those present at the ceremony were Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, members of the state cabinet, Advocate General P. K. Shahi, former Sikkim Governor Ganga Prasad, Lady Governor Sabiha Hasnain, judges of the Patna High Court, senior government officials, advocates and other distinguished guests.
