Chandigarh, June 7 -- The campaign seeking justice for Bhiwani school teacher Manisha entered a new phase on Sunday after a large community gathering in Dhani Lakshman village announced a 21-day deadline for authorities and warned of an indefinite hunger strike if the family's demands remain unaddressed.
At a Mahapanchayat attended by residents and supporters, Manisha's father, Sanjay, declared that he would launch an indefinite fast outside the Deputy Commissioner's office to press for justice for his daughter.
"I will sit on an indefinite hunger strike to secure justice for my daughter. I appeal to the public to stand with us in this fight," he told the gathering.
