Bhubaneswar, May 19 -- Sending out a symbolic message on fuel conservation amid the global oil crisis triggered by the escalating West Asia conflict, three judges of the Orissa High Court braved heat to cycle to the court premises instead of using official vehicles.
Justice Savitri Ratho, Justice V Narasingh and Justice Sibo Sankar Mishra cycled from the Judicial Academy Complex in Cuttack to the High Court premises on Monday, underscoring the need for austerity measures and fuel saving during the ongoing energy uncertainty.
Meanwhile the High Court announced that all Vacation Benches would function in virtual mode during the Summer Vacation, 2026, in a bid to minimise physical movement and ensure efficient functioning of the institution....
