Ranchi, April 20 -- The Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with IIM Calcutta Innovation Park to promote entrepreneurship among rural women in the state.

The agreement aims to strengthen business and management capabilities of women associated with self-help groups across Jharkhand.

Officials said the three-year programme will cover all 24 districts and 264 blocks, providing training and incubation support to women entrepreneurs to align their enterprises with market demand.

In the first phase, around 50,000 rural women entrepreneurs will be identified, of whom 500 will be selected for advanced training in enterprise and business management.
