Ranchi, Aug. 12 -- The Jharkhand Congress on Wednesday rejected BJP's allegation that Rahul Gandhi was responsible for police action against protesting students and questioned the demand for a CBI probe into alleged examination irregularities.
At a press conference here, ministers Radha Krishna Kishore, Dipika Pandey Singh, Irfan Ansari and Shilpi Neha Tirkey said the state government opposed violence against students and wanted the issue resolved through dialogue.
Pandey Singh, who is part of the government's team holding talks with students, claimed that at least 17 examination-related cases had been referred to the CBI since 2015 and questioned the progress of the investigations.
