Ranchi, Sept. 2 -- The Jharkhand BJP on Wednesday issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the state government, demanding a CBI probe into alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC examinations, withdrawal of FIRs against protesting students, and action against former JPSC members accused in the matter.

A delegation led by state BJP president Aditya Sahu and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi met Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar at Project Bhawan and submitted a memorandum outlining the party's demands.

The BJP demanded a CBI investigation into alleged irregularities in various JPSC and JSSC examinations. It said a comprehensive and impartial probe was needed to identify those responsible for the alleged irregularities.
