Imphal, Aug. 30 -- A journalist was today shot at Senapati district by a miscreant. Dip Saikia, a reporter working with HornbillTV of Nagaland was attending a festival when the incident took place.

He was immediately given treatment and wounds were found on his armpit and leg. The assailant used an air gun and he was immediately detained.

Meanwhile Dzuthono Mekro, Editor of Hornbill TV has called upon the Manipur and Nagaland governments to investigate the matter. He said the reporter was on assignment in Laii village, Senapati district, Manipur.
