Davanagere, April 6 -- union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Monday launched a sharp attack on the Congress over alleged "family politics" in Davanagere, warning that concentration of power within a single family could "destroy democracy" in the constituency.
Indirectly pointing to Shamnur family in a press conference here, Joshi claimed that one political family has continued to dominate key positions over generations, raising concerns among voters. "Why should one family be repeatedly favoured?" he asked, expressing confidence that the electorate would respond by supporting the BJP in the upcoming polls.
