Dharamshala, June 17 -- District Welfare Officer, Kangra has appealed to citizens to actively participate in the Drug-Free India Campaign, stating that every Indian should contribute to the nationwide effort to eradicate drug abuse and reduce the demand for narcotics.

He said the Social Justice and Empowerment Department is serving as the nodal agency for the campaign, with the objective of creatingawareness among the public about the harmful effects of drug addiction and educating people on its social and health consequences.
