Ranchi, May 25 -- The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Monday urged the Election Commission of India (ECI) to ensure a free, fair and corruption-free election to the Rajya Sabha seat from Jharkhand scheduled on June 18.
In a memorandum addressed to Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, JMM general secretary and spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said the ruling alliance in Jharkhand enjoys the support of 56 MLAs in the 81-member Assembly and is in a position to secure victory in the election.
