Ranchi, April 10 -- The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Friday said the issue of alleged illegal withdrawals from treasuries dates back over a decade and is linked to the previous BJP government in the state.
JMM central general secretary and spokesperson Vinod Pandey said the matter being raised by the BJP is not new and has its roots in earlier administrative practices.
He said, "The issue is around 14 years old and reflects a system that developed during the previous regime."Pandey said the present government is following a "zero tolerance to corruption" approach and has initiated an inquiry into the matter.
He added that action is being taken and that those found responsible will not be spared.
