Chandigarh, April 27 -- The Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) organized a 'Chhatra Hit Mahapanchayat' (Student Welfare Grand Assembly) at Krantiman Park in Hisar on Monday, drawing prominent leaders to protest against the recent administrative and police actions at Guru Jambheshwar University (GJU).

JJP chief Dr Ajay Chautala, former Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, and Purnia MP Pappu Yadav attended the assembly, with all participants wearing black armbands as a mark of protest against the alleged high-handedness of the authorities.
