Ramgarh, Feb. 27 -- Armed members of the banned extremist outfit Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad allegedly set fire to a JCB machine and held workers hostage at an under construction crusher plant in Ramgarh district late on Thursday night.
The incident occurred at Siyaram Crusher Plant in the remote Sutharpur area under Bhadani Nagar OP limits. According to police and workers, four to five armed men entered the site and threatened labourers.
The workers were allegedly locked inside a room from outside. The attackers are said to have poured fuel on a parked JCB and set it ablaze before fleeing.
Mobile phones of several workers, including Prakash Oraon, were reportedly snatched.
