Ranchi, June 19 -- : union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs and Power Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday announced a series of measures aimed at strengthening urban infrastructure and power distribution in Jharkhand, including financial support under the Urban Challenge Fund and expansion of smart metering.
Addressing the media after reviewing urban development and power sector projects with state officials, Khattar said Jharkhand would receive Rs 1,900 crore under the Urban Challenge Fund, which could facilitate urban development projects worth up to Rs 7,600 crore.
