Ranchi, May 20 -- Jharkhand Rural Development, Rural Works and Panchayati Raj Minister Dipika Pandey Singh on Wednesday directed officials to prepare a list of agencies and contractors delaying road construction projects and initiate action to debar them from future work.
Chairing a review meeting in Ranchi, the minister said agencies failing to complete projects within the stipulated time should not be awarded new contracts. She also directed officials to examine cases where project delays were allegedly linked to attempts to secure revised rates.
The minister reviewed district-wise progress of road and bridge construction projects and expressed concern over several pending schemes across the state.
