Ranchi, June 3 -- Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday directed officials to ensure early operationalisation of 300 auctioned sand ghats with a focus on strengthening the state's revenue collection.
Reviewing the progress of the Mines and Geology Department and the Building Construction Department, Soren said timely commencement of sand extraction from the auctioned ghats could help generate nearly Rs 3,000 crore in revenue for the state.
The Chief Minister also directed officials to expedite clearances and operationalisation of auctioned coal blocks that are yet to become functional in order to enhance revenue generation.
