Ranchi, March 13 -- A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Thursday between the Directorate of Horticulture, Jharkhand and the ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR), Bengaluru, at the Chief Minister Hemant Soren's chamber in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly.
The Chief Minister said the initiative would promote the development and expansion of the horticulture sector in the state. He noted that the collaboration would directly benefit farmers by improving productivity and enhancing their income.
Under the agreement, the state will receive technical support and services from IIHR for improving productivity, quality and value of horticultural crops including fruits, vegetables, ornamental plants, medicinal plant...
