Ranchi, Oct. 29 -- The Jharkhand Commercial Taxes Department on Thursday signed an agreement with Choice Consultancy Services Private Limited to develop an Integrated Revenue Intelligence System (IRIS) aimed at strengthening revenue collection and detecting potential tax evasion.
The agreement was signed under the department's CT-MIS project in the presence of Finance and Commercial Taxes Minister Radha Krishna Kishore at Project Building in Ranchi.
Commercial Taxes Commissioner-cum-Secretary Amit Kumar said the system would integrate information technology applications and online portals of various state departments to enable coordinated analysis of revenue-related data.
