Ranchi, June 11 -- Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday urged the Centre to release Rs 1.36 lakh crore in pending dues from coal companies and central public sector undertakings and sought timely release of Rs 6,000 crore under the Jal Jeevan Mission while addressing the 11th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog.
Addressing the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Soren said the pending dues would play a decisive role in strengthening human capital development and accelerating welfare and infrastructure initiatives in the mineral-rich state.
