Ranchi, March 26 -- The Jharkhand government has declared snakebite a notifiable disease across the state, making it mandatory for all government and private health institutions to report every case and death, officials said on Thursday.
The decision is aimed at strengthening surveillance, treatment response and policy planning in a state where snakebite cases rise seasonally, particularly in rural, tribal and agricultural areas.
